As we enter March, we take a moment to recognize Women’s History Month. Our schools are filled with remarkable stories, from the pioneering educators who built this district to the students currently leading our clubs and athletic teams. This month is less about formal ceremony and more about acknowledging the everyday contributions of the women who shape our community. We are proud to foster an environment where every young woman in our classrooms sees a clear path toward leadership, innovation, and success. Thank you to the teachers and staff who help bring these stories to life in our lessons this month and throughout the year. To recognize and celebrate Women’s History Month, our school board passed a resolution at their February meeting, which you can find here.
We have worked hard to develop a range of educational pathways for students to earn their high school diplomas. The New Haven Academy is a perfect example. Students can attend classes virtually or use a hybrid approach, taking classes at our traditional in-person schools and also take college level classes. Another great option is Conley-Caraballo High School (CCHS). CCHS offers a more personal high school experience for students who want a smaller setting with more direct contact with staff. If you are interested in CCHS, there is an upcoming Parent Information Night at Logan. Learn about their graduation requirements, available programs, and day-to-day student life at CCHS. Al entrar a marzo, nos tomamos un momento para reconocer el Mes de la Historia de la Mujer. Nuestras escuelas están llenas de historias notables, desde las educadoras pioneras que formaron este distrito escolar hasta los estudiantes que actualmente dirigen nuestros clubes y equipos deportivos. Este mes no es tanto una ceremonia formal, como un reconocimiento a las contribuciones diarias de las mujeres que dan forma a nuestra comunidad. Estamos orgullosos de fomentar un entorno en el que todas las jóvenes de nuestros salones vean un camino claro hacia el liderazgo, la innovación y el éxito. Gracias a los maestros y al personal que ayudan a traer estas historias a nuestras lecciones de este mes y a lo largo del año.
