Dear New Haven Families,
This weekend, Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday morning. Don’t forget to “spring forward” and set your clocks ahead one hour. While we all enjoy the extra evening sunlight, the initial adjustment can be a challenge for students (and adults!). To help with the transition, you might consider shifting bedtimes 15 minutes earlier each night this weekend.
As spring approaches, we are already looking forward to summer. We are currently accepting applications for our NHUSD Summer Programs. While June feels far away, programs fill up quickly. You can learn more and apply here: NHUSD Summer Programs.
Please join us for our second Celebrating Schools event on Tuesday, March 17. We are excited to see presentations from:
- James Logan High School & Itliong-Vera Cruz Middle School
- Delaine Eastin, Pioneer, Kitayama, and Alvarado Elementary Schools

Estimadas familias de New Haven:
Este domingo por la mañana comienza el horario de verano. No olviden adelantar el reloj una hora. Aunque todos disfrutamos de más horas de luz al atardecer, el cambio inicial puede resultar difícil para los estudiantes (¡y para los adultos!). Para facilitar la transición, podrían adelantar 15 minutos la hora de ir a dormir este fin de semana.
A medida que se acerca la primavera, estamos deseando que llegue el verano. Actualmente estamos aceptando solicitudes para nuestros programas de verano del NHUSD.
