Dear NHUSD Families,
The design process for James Logan High School is underway. Site user groups are meeting to identify and prioritize current usage needs, helping us design a facility that will serve both present and future generations of students. We also know that many in our community have strong connections to Logan and may want to share their thoughts and ideas. There are several opportunities to do so:

A flyer with this information is being mailed to all households in our attendance area to ensure that everyone in our community has an opportunity to participate, even if they don’t regularly access district communications.
We’d also like to congratulate Ella Vega of James Logan High School, who was recently named the Bay Area News Group’s Girls’ Athlete of the Week! Ella, the quarterback for the JLHS flag football team, threw for an incredible 524 yards and seven touchdowns in recent victories over San Leandro and Tennyson. Way to go, Ella!
A reminder that enrollment for the 2026–27 school year is now open. Here’s key information from our Student & Family Services Department:
- Transitional Kindergarten (TK): Children born between September 2, 2021, and September 1, 2022
- Kindergarten (K): Children born between September 2, 2020, and September 1, 2021
If you will have a TK- or Kindergarten-aged child, please enroll online through the New Haven Enrollment webpage. Transfer applications will open on January 10, 2026, and are due by March 20, 2026.
Note: Currently enrolled New Haven students do not need to re-enroll.
