Dear New Haven Families,
November is Native American Heritage Month. We recognize that our schools are located on the ancestral lands of the Ohlone people, and we take this opportunity to reflect on their enduring presence and influence in our region. Throughout the month, our schools will offer learning experiences that celebrate Indigenous voices, traditions, and stories, helping students deepen their understanding of our shared history and the rich diversity that strengthens our community. Our Board of Education passed a resolution during its October meeting commemorating Native American Heritage Month, which can be found here.
As many of you are aware, the Measure N bond will enable us to modernize James Logan High School. We are currently in the design phase, and the first of two community meetings will be held on November 5. If you are interested in attending, RSVP here: JLHS Design Community Meeting RSVP.
