Goal 4 of our strategic plan is based on strengthening our school, family, and community connections. Part of our work related to this goal is launching the New Haven Family Collaborative. This group of parents and guardians will provide input on what is working well for students and families and where we can improve, while also receiving timely updates on district initiatives and challenges. The Collaborative will help ensure that families have access to clear, consistent information and will create opportunities for parents and guardians to share what they learn with their school communities. By working together, we aim to foster welcoming environments, strengthen engagement, and build lasting partnerships that support every student’s success. If you are interested in participating or learning more about this, please join us for our first event of the year, the NHUSD Parent and Guardian Welcome Back BBQ.
Here is another reminder about the New Haven Schools Foundation (NHSF) Mutt Strutt. This year, the Mutt Strutt will take place on Saturday, September 20. For more information about this event, please visit the NHSF Mutt Strut website. The NHSF raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for our students and staff members each year, and it counts on our support through events like the Mutt Strutt to make this happen.
