On Thursday, May 20, the NHTA and District bargaining teams reached a tentative agreement on a contract for this 2020-21 and the 2021-22 school year. The New Haven Unified School District is pleased to share that NHTA membership ratified this agreement with over 95% of certificated staff voting to approve the contract.
We are also happy to share that our classified employee union, CSEA, voted to ratify their tentative agreement with the District for the 20-21 and 21-22 school years with the approval of 84% of its members.
And finally, our unrepresented employees and administrators also agreed, with more than 90% in favor, to approve their two-year agreement.
All three agreements will go to the Board for its review and approval on Tuesday, June 15.

El jueves 20 de mayo, los equipos de negociación de la NHTA y el Distrito llegaron a un acuerdo tentativo sobre un contrato para este año escolar 2020-21 y el 2021-22. El Distrito Escolar Unificado de New Haven se complace en compartir que los miembros de la NHTA ratificaron este acuerdo con más del 95% del personal certificado que votó para aprobar el contrato.
También nos complace compartir que nuestro sindicato de empleados clasificados, CSEA, votó para ratificar su acuerdo tentativo con el Distrito para los años escolares 20-21 y 21-22 con la aprobación del 84% de sus miembros.
Y finalmente, nuestros empleados no representados y los administradores también acordaron, con más del 90% a favor, aprobar su acuerdo de dos años.
Los tres acuerdos se presentarán al Consejo para su revisión y aprobación el martes 15 de junio.
