Dear NHUSD Families,
The period of time between the Labor Day Holiday in September and the Veteran’s Day Holiday in November can be a long one for teachers and students (and parents too). To break this up, there is a non-student day on Friday, October 14, that will give everyone a little break. Please make sure that you have this on your calendar.
If you are looking for something to do on that Friday, please join us in celebrating the 10th anniversary of New Haven’s Union City Family Center. We are hosting a 10th Anniversary Fall Family Celebration and Resource Fair on October 14 from 3:30 – 5:30 at the Barnard-White Campus at 725 Whipple Road, Union City, CA 94587. All New Haven families are invited to join this free event.
We will have food, games, live music, sports, and supplies including diapers and more for infants and toddlers. Our live free raffle will include tickets to see Disney on Ice, and commemorative items from the 49ers, the Oakland A’s, and the San Jose Earthquakes and Q, their mascot. Looking past that, we will be celebrating Filipino American History Month with Saturday events on two consecutive Saturdays (October 22 and October 29) at Itlong-Vera Cruz Middle School. Stay tuned for more information about these upcoming events.

Todas las familias de New Haven están invitadas a participar en este evento gratuito.
