PeachJar Flyer Distribution Process

NHUSD uses Peachjar to distribute flyers electronically throughout the district. Flyers from community organizations will be distributed through email. This is part of our ongoing efforts to be more environmentally-friendly by reducing the amount of paper copies and making information available in a more timely, searchable manner.

Community Groups and Outside Organizations
NHUSD cooperates with community groups and outside organizations that sponsor educational and enrichment activities for students by distributing materials electronically via Peachjar to district families. As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology, and maintain fiscal responsibility, we exclusively use electronic flyer delivery and do not distribute paper copies of flyers.

All materials distributed within NHUSD must first be approved by the District Office through Peachjar only. The New Haven USD only approves flyers from non-profit 501 (c) 3 organizations or for events that are hosted at our school sites with an approved facilities use permit. In addition, flyers may not be approved if they are in conflict with district-sponsored programs. In order to provide this service to our families at no cost to the district, Peachjar charges program providers a fee to distribute e-flyers. The fee is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers to each school.

To request flyer approval, follow the steps below. Once approved, your flyer will be distributed via email and posted online. Paper flyers will not be distributed.

1. Ensure that your flyer meets the NHUSD Flyer Approval requirements described above;
2. Go to https://accounts.peachjar.com/signup/org
3. Register with Peachjar as a Non-Profit from the Organization Type drop down menu;
4. Select desired schools;
5. Upload your pdf flyer to Peachjar for approval.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: The following disclaimer is required to appear on the flyer:

“This event/activity/program (choose one) is not sponsored by the New Haven Unified School District. Approval to distribute flyers is a community service rather than an endorsement.”

Your flyer will be automatically submitted to the District for review and approval.
