Materials & Equipment Clerk
A. PRIMARY FUNCTION
Under limited supervision, to be responsible for the efficient operation of a high school storeroom; and to do related work as required, consistent with the job description.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Directly responsible to designated administrators.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Receives, stores, issues, and delivers school supplies and equipment, including textbooks, audio-visual equipment, films, and office and classroom supplies Checks goods against invoices or purchase orders and prepares reports of discrepancies
- Receives and fills requisitions for materials and supplies and provides timely deliveries
- Repairs and splices film
- Cleans and makes minor repairs and adjustments to audio-visual equipment, such as replacement of lamps, fuses, and drive belts
- Maintains adequate stock levels
- Conducts perpetual and periodic physical inventories
- Provides information as to stock and price of materials
- Prepares reports as required
- Maintains storeroom in neat and orderly condition
- Instructs and supervises student assistants
- Performs minor maintenance duties such as repairing lockers and changing combinations.
