A space where Latino parents and school community members can collaborate to support our Latino students with actions that will enrich their academic and personal excellence within the New Haven Unified School District and the community.

Latino Parent Advisory at New Haven Day 2026

Purpose:

Create systemic process to prepare Latino/a students for a required a-g path to college in grades K-12
Incorporate practices that support the purpose into the operation of ALL school sites (ie. Academic Support, Mentorships, Speakers, etc.
Forum to meet and discuss without inhibition
Address policies and practices that inhibit the mission
Celebrations and Recognition
