Student Support Services

In the New Haven Unified School District, Student Support Services are dedicated to fostering every student’s academic, social, and emotional success. We provide a comprehensive range of programs and resources designed to meet the diverse needs of our students, families, and staff.  Our services aim to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where students can thrive.

We believe in the power of collaboration and community to support student success. Whether you are a student, parent, or educator, New Haven Unified School District’s Student Support Services are here to assist you every step of the way.

Key student support service resources (with links on the left-hand toolbar) include:

  • Attendance: Consistent attendance is key to academic success, building strong habits, and fostering a sense of responsibility.
  • Expanded Learning Opportunity Programs (ELOP):  Beyond the Bell / Boys and Girls Club:  Programming for students in grades TK through 8 to expand their learning opportunities beyond the school day.
  • Enrollment:  New Haven enrolls students year-round.  Enrollment for the next school year begins in October.
  • Student and School Safety:  New Haven is committed to making our students feel safe at school, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
  • Family Support Services:  The Union City Family Center provides resources and connects families with support services.
  • Student Support Services:  Resources and supports for a variety of student needs.
  • Wellness and Mental Health Supports:  New Haven partners with Daybreak Health to provide teletherapy to our students and Care Solace to help students and families connect with counseling services.
