Dear NHUSD Families,
We will go through our annual reorganization process at next week’s school board meeting. Per our policy, board members may only hold leadership positions for one year. Currently, Lance Nishihira is president, Shruti Kumar is vice president, and Michael Gonzales is clerk. The board will elect new members to these positions on Tuesday.
The school board will also review the final draft of our 2024-2027 strategic plan goals and action initiatives at this board meeting. The current draft reflects the input we received from our NHUSD community during the past few months. The board and our community can comment on these goals and provide feedback. We will make any necessary revisions to these goals and initiatives and then bring them to the board for approval at our regular meeting in January.

Estimadas familias del NHUSD,
Realizaremos nuestro proceso anual de reorganización en la reunión del Consejo Escolar de la próxima semana. Según nuestra política, los miembros del Consejo sólo pueden ocupar cargos ejecutivos durante un año. Actualmente, Lance Nishihira es presidente, Shruti Kumar es vicepresidenta y Michael Gonzales es secretario. El Consejo elegirá el martes a los nuevos miembros para estos cargos.
En esta reunión el Consejo Escolar también revisará el borrador final del plan estratégico de metas e iniciativas para 2024-2027. El borrador actual refleja la información que recibimos de nuestra comunidad NHUSD durante los últimos meses. El Consejo y nuestra comunidad pueden opinar sobre estas metas y proporcionar sus comentarios. Haremos las revisiones necesarias a estas metas e iniciativas y luego las traeremos al Consejo para su aprobación en nuestra reunión regular de enero.
