Purpose of the District African American Advisory
- Create systematic processes to prepare African American students for a required A-G path to college K-12
- Incorporate practices that support the purpose into the operation of ALL school sites i.e. Academic Support, Mentorships, Speakers, etc.
- Forum to meet and discuss without inhibition
- Address policies and practices that inhibit the mission
- Celebrations and Recognition
- Saturday enrichment programs
District Vision / Goals
- College, Career, and Life Readiness through Teaching and Learning
- Equity, Access and Achievement
- Effective Employee Relations and Collaborative District Culture
- Community Outreach, Engagement and Advocacy
- Effective Resource Management and Operational Sustainability
