Dear NHUSD Families,
Thank you to those who supported the New Haven Schools Foundation Gala Saturday night. We had a good turnout, and a lot of money was raised for our students and teachers. The next opportunity to support the Foundation will be to participate in the Fun Run, which will take place during our second annual New Haven Day. This year, New Haven Day will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 10:00 – 3:30. The Fun Run will occur before New Haven Day starts. New Haven Day is a great opportunity for our families to enjoy seeing our students perform and learning more about our schools and community partners.
We have two upcoming events that will showcase our schools: our Celebrating Schools meetings. The first Celebrating Schools meeting is on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the JLHS Performing Arts Center. The schools highlighted on that date are Cesar Chavez Middle School, Itliong Vera-Cruz Middle School, James Logan High School, Decoto School for Independent Study, Searles Elementary, Emanuele Elementary, and Pioneer Elementary. The remaining schools will be showcased at our second Celebrating Schools meeting on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the same time and location.

Estimadas familias del NHUSD,
Gracias a todos los que apoyaron la Gala de la Fundación de Escuelas de New Haven el sábado por la noche. Tuvimos una buena asistencia y se recaudó mucho dinero para nuestros estudiantes y maestros. La proxima oportunidad para apoyar a la Fundacion será participando en Fun Run (Carrera Divertida), que tendrá lugar durante nuestro segundo Día Anual de New Haven. Este año, el Día de New Haven se celebrará el sábado 27 de abril de 2024, de 10:00 a 3:30. Fun Run tendrá lugar antes de que comience el Día de New Haven. El Día de New Haven es una gran oportunidad para que nuestras familias disfruten de las representaciones de nuestros estudiantes y aprendan más sobre nuestras escuelas y colaboradores comunitarios.
Tenemos dos próximos eventos que exhibirán nuestras escuelas: nuestras reuniones de la Celebración de las Escuelas. La primera reunión de la Celebración de las Escuelas es el martes 6 de febrero de 2024, a las 6:00 p.m. en el Centro de Artes Escénicas JLHS. Las escuelas destacadas en esa fecha son la Secundaria César Chávez, la Secundaria Itliong Vera-Cruz, la Preparatoria James Logan, la Escuela Decoto para Estudios Independientes, la Primaria Searles, la Primaria Emanuele y la Primaria Pioneer. Las escuelas restantes se presentarán en nuestra segunda reunión de la Celebración de las Escuelas el martes 19 de marzo de 2024, a la misma hora y en el mismo lugar.
