Dear NHUSD Families,
The Muslim month of Ramadan, a significant time of fasting and reflection, begins on March 10 and concludes on April 9. During this period, some students and staff members will observe a fast, abstaining from food and drink during school and daylight hours. We are committed to meeting their needs and providing necessary accommodations. Please contact your school site administration if you have a fasting student who requires assistance. On March 19, we are excited to host our second Celebrating Schools event, a wonderful opportunity to learn about our schools’ exciting initiatives and achievements. This event will happen at the JLHS Performing Arts Center at 6:00 p.m. It will feature presentations from Kitayama Elementary, Hillview Crest Elementary, Eastin Elementary, Alvarado Elementary, Conley-Caraballo High School, and the Adult School. We look forward to your participation and the sense of community it will foster.
Also, on March 19, our school board will hold a study session to review survey data collected about a potential school bond for the November 2024 election. This meeting starts at 5:00 in our Educational Services Center.
