Dear New Haven Families,
Next week will start the fifth week of school and most of us are ready for a break, so the Labor Day Holiday on Monday couldn’t come at a better time. The holiday is also an opportunity to reflect on the purpose of Labor Day, which is to recognize the many contributions that workers have made to our country’s strength, prosperity, and well-being.
Locally, our staff members are what make the New Haven unified the special place that it is. I have never worked with a more hardworking and dedicated staff that is committed to doing what is best for our students. In addition, we have worked collaboratively with our labor partners, NHTA and CSEA, to help keep New Haven as a place where our staff members want to stay. If you get the opportunity, please thank one of our staff members for their service to our students and families.
Next week the Aeries Parent Portal will be open for families to access. Our staff has prepared some resources to assist families in utilizing this tool. You can find the links to these resources below:

On September 13, 2022, we will host a State of the District address prior to our regular board meeting. As we enter the third and final year of our current strategic plan, we will be highlighting some of the initiatives we will be working on related to our five goals. You can attend this event in person at our Educational Services Center or via Zoom. Information on how to access this event can be found on our website: NHUSD Website.

Estimadas familias de New Haven,
La próxima semana comenzará la quinta semana de clases y la mayoría de nosotros estamos listos para un descanso, por lo que el Día del Trabajo el lunes no podría llegar en mejor momento.
